TERMOLINE has completed in the year 2015 RENEWABLE ENERGY RESEARCH CENTER , funded by structural funds – a smartGreen  building that is close to the passive constructions where heating and cooling is achieved with geothermal heat pumps Dimplex; T.A.B.S. system Uponor (Thermally Activated Building Structures). The building has over 120 sensors (including geothermal probes at 110 m) and is subject to 3-year monitoring. We do research, studies and monitoring: 

  • the contribution of geothermal energy to the heating / air conditioning of buildings;
  •  Thermal Response Test TRT: Measurement of soil thermal transfer coefficient with GEOGERT;
  • design for the  geothermal well fields following TRT specialized software testing;
  • “design and build” for geothermal structures – geothermal piles and geothermal mud walls;
  • soil regeneration in the geothermal wells area, with or without the climate of buildings;
  • passive cooling with radiant systems and  T.A.B.S. ;
  • use of heat pumps in heat recovery – energy recovery in heat dissipation processes;
  • monitoring of 30 projects implemented with Dimplex heat pumps (with data acquisition on their own servers).

 

RESULTS

  • define and implemente the concept smartGreenhome;
  • we have been participating for 2 years in the Horizon 2020 structural program:  GABI COST (Geothermal energy Applications in Building and Infrastructure);
  • we have been participating since October 2018 in the structural program Horizon 2020: BIM4REN ( Building Informations Models for RENovation) – a European consortium of 22 organizations headed by the NOBATEK research center in France;
